What I might do is see if I can take out a credit card (or even just use the one I've already got, although I don't really want to encroach the ones I've already got for their use-cases) and then simply set it up to auto-pay whatever the balance is for that week from said account.

If it comes from my bank that shouldn't be hard to arrange.

I'd say talk to the bank. If push comes to shove, they'll very quickly figure out a way for you to use a debit card more conveniently if you threaten to move to a different bank. I'd be very surprised if it comes to that, though. An account structure that allows you to use a debit card easily isn't exactly a rare ask.

Only reason I'm leery about this is the fact that said account isn't supposed to work like a checking account, even though it is. The bank positions it as like a short-term savings account that you can build money up for something specific (so like holiday shopping, for instance). But I just use it as a place to store funds that I don't want to slice out of my regular spending money for essentials (bills, food, etc.). A "rec spending" account, basically. I don't keep any money in there with the intent of holding it there for a specific goal, just a place to store money that I designated as for stuff that won't affect the money needed for maintaining my needs.
