I honestly don't really get the "It didn't age well" argument.
Random encounters were annoying and dated even by the time it re-released for the gamecube.
It's 3D Graphics as well compared to FF8, or 9.
unskipable cutscenes
Poor pacing and slow combat
poorly balanced gameplay thats fun and engaging initially but eventually devolves into charing spirit, and spamming pirates wrath on top of defensive skills with occasional buffs inbetween.
Characters were fun with great chemistry. But eventually becomes background characters.
Lack of VA is subjective but to me it really could have used it more then most other Jrpgs.
