On the overworld you will be harassed by little tiny enemies I recommend against using Monogame tbh. I used it for a while, it's faster to use a game engine to do anything. Unless you feel like doing something particularly custom. I remember being very jealous of Unity developers cranking out a full demo in a weekend like it was nothing. Plus I've been waiting 6 years for them to implement WebGL.
