Choose a neutral or blurred background
Try to eliminate any distracting noises, like an open window or a noisy dog
Dress professionally
Have questions prepared to ask them at the end

I have been involved in every interview my company has done for 10 years. This is excellent advice for a Zoom interview.

I add one more. Be seated at a desk or table, stay there, and keep your attention on the camera/screen at all times. You would be surprised how many folks move around the house during their interview, or start to lose eye contact and such because they are talking to a camera and not a person. It is super off putting. Keep focused on the screen just like you would focus on a person sitting across from you. And stay in one spot!

Edited to add one more-do your research on the company before you interview. Nothing worse than interviewing someone who has not even looked at your website or knows anything about what you do. Be prepared.

Good luck TC! I am sure you will do great!
