Outside of extrapolation based on Bridget's parents being scoentist, which I'm not even sure I'm remembering right on that front, there isn't.

Otherwise the story as presented is that Bridget's parents moved into the village and had twins. To avoid a local superstition concerning same sex twins that would have required them throw away one of their children they instead raised and present Bridget as their daughter to protect both of their children and later told Bridget this. At this point is when Bridget set out for their own identity and went into bounty hunting effectively to prove that there was nothing bad about same sex twins to the village and proving to be not a walking disaster from the funds from bounty hunting being sent back to the village they villagers discarded the superstition.

This of course didn't solve the core issue of who Bridget was to Bridget which is where Strive's story is culminating in Bridget accepting her identity and being assured by Kai that her true friends will accept her just as his true friends still accepted him despite becoming a gear.

So I find it funny the guy calling others fake fans missed that last little part.

bridgetts back story is one of those things you hear about and then when you actually look into it you go oh thats kinda boring

like its just her parents have her wear girl clothes thats it and she never once complained about it she was always told the truth it was her parents feeling guilty about everything that caused her to set out to debunk the superstition

and the moment she debunks the superstition she stops and thinks about herself and thats when her dysphoria hits like a truck
