I never understood the hate for the Funi dub going far back when I first got into the show back in the early 2000s. I liked the voices for the characters and the music kept me engaged. Then again I've always preferred watching English dubs over the original language as I don't care to read subtitles throughout the whole series. A movie I might.

Also sometimes, not often, a different interpretation of someone else's work on just minor things. Whether implementing different music choices, adding visuals, inserting or taking out scenes. Can improve upon the original. Or at least have it's own audience that likes the changes, while those who preferred the original can go watch the original version.
