To me, it has some of the strongest material in the whole entire Gundam series, but also some downright frustrating parts. I feel it needed some rewriting and some editing down to trim the fat. To a ton if not most of Gundam fans, it's the GOAT, but I'll always like the OG better. Then again I'm a weirdo. You're not weird. I love Zeta but 0079 was better. I loved Amuro's progression of piloting the Gundam and then coming to the realization that the Gundam's performance couldn't handle him. Plus I love Char and Amuro's rivalry. Zeta was great but I still love 0079 more. I'm actually in the middle of watching 00. That's actually my favorite series, even over the mainline series. I think the only issue was that Season 1 was so good that season 2 paled in comparison and it sucks because it was always going to be really tough to top season 1. Season 2 felt like it relied too much on the old Gundam tropes. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
