For what it's worth, I didn't read up on any of the Lacey stuff until after I listened to the album, and even then it was just a Wiki article. I don't think it would've affected my impression of the music if I had. I feel like I can separate the art and the artist, but also feel like it would have probably affected mine still. Anyway, I was more trying to reassure Brand New fans if there are any here who might not know. Though now I'm anxiously awaiting Bane to PM me back, worried I might be wrong :( Really sinking feeling. There was one very important piece of information I must have repressed that I edited in: Lacey at least texted the accuser when she was 17. Considering he was 24, I still don't find that as predatory as Leo being almost 50 and dating 18 year olds, but we also don't know those texts. Hopefully that's the only context I was missing.
