It's right to teach them about stuff like this and many more challenges they might potentially face before it happens so they can be mentally, physically and emotionally prepared for these inevitable realities.

There's a gulf of sanity between, "Let them suffer because the 10-yo needs to graduate from the school of hard knocks before their voice even drops," and, "teach them about economic inequality without socially isolating them from their privileged peers."

Jesus Christ, dude. There is no need to inflict this harm on poor kids just so they learn that they're poor and it's shitty to be poor. And they can even be taught without the cruelty.

What happened to you to make you think this is an okay suggestion?
