Topic	Now eight Democrat senators are calling for Menendez to resign

If Menendez is the incumbent next year, the Republicans are very likely to take that seat. no they arent, New Jersey has not elected a Republican senator since 1972 invertedlegdrop posted... As bad as Menendez is, some blame needs to go to the voters who re-elected him when corruption charges came up years ago.. as someone who is from New Jersey, no one really challenged him in the primary. In 2018- he won 62 percent to 38 percent against a person who didnt even have a website about their policies. This time around though, he is going to get a real challenger as Andy Kim is going to run against him who is already a congressman and was one of the people cleaning up after the capitol riots.
