I was able to for most of my life but I'm not so sure anymore. I've become a completely different person in the last five or six years and that has really impacted how I interact with people and vice versa, including bumping a few longtime friendships out of the strictly platonic realm. I'm not the kind of person who will stop being friends with a woman who doesn't reciprocate feelings but I also am starting to realize it was a lot easier to be strictly platonic when few people found me desirable (and for good reason). This is all just sexual though. I still see them as only friends and not spouses or soulmates or anything involving "the feels."
