I paid for a course that works toward the CCT cert. It's basically half of a CCNA and people on Reddit and other places say it's worthless but I beg to differ. I just want to get my hands dirty and learn the basics. The CCT is more about being a technician and less being a network administrator. You learn about about the basics of the OSI model, learn how to upgrade and switch out Cisco equipment, and learn how to troubleshoot issues.

My friend has a nice job making around 100K a year installing LCD arrays in company board rooms for Zoom meetings or for control centers. He said it's booming business but it involves basic network integration skills combined with regular work like terminating ethernet and audio cables. He's trying to get me involved so I'm working hard to get up to speed on the basics.
