Yeah I had to look up to make sure the information was correct. Also in light of the recent "controversy" surrounding Rotten Tomatoes people are acting like it's proof that Disney was bribing critics all along when nothing even remotely like that was brought up, which is why I brought up the whole thing about Gamergate. In fact RT itself seems to be largely blameless and it's mostly the culture that has built around it which is awfully easy to game, which frankly I already knew.

If Gamergate is apparently the only thing standing against unethical journalism, I'll take unethical journalism. Not to mention it's interesting how pro-GG people seem to be primarily concerned with "identity politics" over any kinds of other problems with ethics in journalism (e.g. the fact Rotten Tomatoes is owned by Universal's parent Comcast and that WB also has a minority stake in RT, representing massive conflicts of interest given both those studios are obviously in the business of making movies themselves). Then again I'm also learning how willfully ignorant people like these are and that not everyone is a Doug Walker or Mike Nelson who will apologize for saying something that rubs people the wrong way.
