TopicSo Starfield is worth it as long as you sacrifice 7 hours at first.

The start is very weak.

like compare it to other Bethesda games.

Fallout3: you get to see life in the vault and how everything goes to shit

fallout NV: you literally get shot in the head and youre left for dead. Only with clues of bennies whereabouts and a mystery of who you are

fallout 4: vault dweller and your child gets kidnapped while you go into cryosleep for YEARS

Skyrim: literally about to be executed and then a fucking dragon attacks the town and prolongs your life.

and then theres Starfield, youre a boring ass miner and your job gets attacked by a pathetic group of pirates that are easily dispatched. Then this guy asks you to run an errand. Very pathetic.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the game takes 7 hours to be fun.

It does take awhile to get going though and that's definitely a weak intro but fun depends on the player. What do you identify as fun? If you're easy like me, going to a planet and scanning everything and gathering resources is my idea of fun. I had fun from the get go.

The game has a lot of flaws but its also has a lot of positives. It just depends on which you consider a flaw. The first few quests Sarah gives is a good start but I think a lot of people are let down by their own expectation. I was one of them. I'm having fun but my expectations weren't met.

I thought this would be different from Elder Scrolls and Fallout but it just feels a bit like Elder Scrolls with a different skin.

Compare NPCs from games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Witcher 3 to a game like this and you're fucked. The game feels bleak and bland compared to other rpgs. It feels like they made this game a decade ago with a few updates.
