Any thoughts on whether the appeal will be successful? https://www.washingtonpost.com/documents/1e68710b-4306-45af-9840-1299948311d8.pdf I doubt it. On page 26 of the original ruling, the judge noted: Meadows also testified that as White House Chief of Staff he was bound by the Hatch Act and he could not engage in political activity. While Mark Meadows isn't being charged with violating the Hatch Act, the Act explicitly says that he wasn't allowed to work with or for the Trump campaign as he did. For example, in the case of the recorded call where Trump was pressuring the Georgia secretary of state to find 11000+ votes, Mark Meadows was the one who arranged that call. There were multiple lawyers on the call as well. The kicker here is that there were absolutely no White House Counsel lawyers on the call. They were all Trump campaign lawyers. Also, Mark Meadows' trip to the Cobb County Civit Center "to try to observe an audit of ballot signatures" was purely a political action. Mark Meadows cannot explain away the Hatch Act no matter how many times he appeals. --- https://i.imgtc.com/d9Fc4Qq.gif https://i.imgtc.com/BKHTxYq.gif https://i.imgtc.com/vYYIuDx.jpg ...
