Topic	Who tf is "Mr. Beast" and why am I suddenly seeing him everywhere

I was in the Philippines at a mall and a kid came up to me to show off his English (this happens with weird regularity in the Philippines and nowhere else Ive ever been). He started with the normal questions like Are you American? and Where are you from? but one of his first specific questions was Do you know Mr. Beast?. One of the first things a kid from the other side of the world did while talking to me was to assume I must watch this random youtuber just because Im American.
