It's never presented that ~~Maruki~~ "screwed up" really in granting any of the wishes he did for the main cast, not in the sense he is a flawed wish granter. His micromanaging is shown to cause conflicts for NPCs in the wider world here and there but it's not really a complaint for the main cast that he could've done even better by them. This was a big debate topic on the P5 Royal boards, so I don't want to derail this topic too much. But I'm off the opinion that as we saw the false reality, there were a lot of little things that were messed up.
