I don't have a link handy, but I recall reading from more than one source that Ashton Kutcher had a strong part in lobbying the EU to formulate and try and pass that legislation they are working on to ban private communications and to mandate scanning all messages for abuse and criminal activity. Someone who used to work for his organization is now part of another group which recently made news for trying to get Apple to roll out that scanning technology they shelved because it doesn't work and is dangerous. Maybe Kutcher and his non-profit are above-board, but I personally feel he might be a piece of shit who does some good to try and cover for it. --- Cuteness is justice!
