We are talking a range of anywhere from 20% to 120% more. I know someone who got a quarter million signing bonus to move to san diego to be a lawyer, after having just 5 or 6 years of experience. That bonus alone was more than triple what she earned yearly at her job here.

I have an interview today with a company that has a posted range of "73-76k for Canada, 85-90k for USA". In local currencies. That seems backwards, right? WRONG! USA simply pays more. After exchange rates, its 60% higher to take the job in the USA than Canada (90k usd = 122k cad, 122-76/76 = 0.6).

And the fast food prices are cheaper in usa too. wtf man, Canada getting screwed up here! i wanna move to the usa!
