What did Paxton do to anger the Republicans in Texas? Just one of a bit of nonsense he did, but this was pretty big... He lost a major lawsuit that four of his own deputies blew the whistle on a number of his other corruptive acts (to the tune of $3.3 million). Or rather, it would be the settlement. But instead of paying it himself, he tried to sneak that amount into a legislature bill to get the state to pay it off for him. Kaldrenthebold posted... Believe he called the leader of the house a drunk and started feuding with them. THAT'S what was needed to start this, not the actual legitimate corruption of this piece of s***.
