I don't have a problem with it, and I don't even consider it pretentious or "facetious" either. Kojima is such a huge personality in the game industry that it's kind of just how the brand marketing of his games work, and to him personally it speaks to his obvious desire of being a film director.

And as others already mentioned, movie and tv directors do that almost all the time. "A Steven Spielberg film" is okay, but it's "pretentious" when a game developer does it. Makes no sense.
