Topic"The Flash" was nowhere as bad as people made it out to be.

My biggest issue with the movie was how aggressively awkward Barry was. I already found him to be obnoxious in Justice League (both versions), but at least he had only a comic-relief supporting role in those. With him being the lead character the movie needed to tone him down a bit. Instead it quite literally doubled down on the Barries. The audience is supposed to root for the protagonists, not be annoyed by them.

The shoddy cgi don't even bother me all that much, except for that one scene with all the cameos. They couldn't bother giving these characters a place in the movie so they just rolled a clip reel saying: "hey, remember these guys? This is us acknowledging them. That's all." The crummy vfx there made it just that more tacky.

With a different lead actor (or a change in direction for him), the movie could have been pretty enjoyable.
I mean, how would it have worked to give them all bigger roles? Some of them were dead (Adam West, Christopher Reeve, George Reeves, etc).

Honestly I really liked that scene. I just wish they showed more. Like, why leave out Val Kilmer, Brandon Routh, Chris O'Donnell, Christian Bale, Henry Cavill, Lynda Carter, Ryan Reynalds Green Lantern, Swamp Thing, Tom Tyler, etc.

Heck they could have promoted more ongoing series like Robert Pattinson's Batman, Phoenix Joker, Doom Patrol, Titans, the CW verse, etc.
