Death Stranding is a beautiful game and has some unique atmosphere going on, if you're in the right headspace it can be quite relaxing. As a game, though, it has literally nothing to grind for or to unlock that the story missions don't flat out give you. Your end game goals are ziplines, bridges and ladders to make traversal easier. To get more money for... reasons.

It's a deceptively simple game, even for a walking simulator. It didn't help that the marketing pushed the shit out of the Mads Mikkelsen character + militaristic scenarios that ended up being about 3 minutes grand total of flashbacks.
