megaman is one of the earliest, if not the very earliest, victims of capcom milking a franchise far beyond sustainability but he hung on for WAY longer than pretty much anyone they've ever done that to outside of street fighter. Megaman sustained itself through multiple long stretches of games that were mostly put together as budget asset reuse exercises and to this day people still want more --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ...
