TOTK probably deserves it. I think if the decision is based on industry professionals, the things they accomplished in this game has literally never been done in the industry at least to the extent that TOTK did. There are physics ragdoll sandbox sims in existence. But there hasn't been one that's as glitch free with as much game around it. If it doesn't win, then honestly we can expect any game to release as close to the awards will just win it, or whoever just pays better I guess.
