Now we are seeing Gender Affirming Care for kids talked about and it's kind of a shock. We're old and scared of changes!

I'll admit, I have an 8 year old son and am not really comfortable with gender being a topic for him to worry about. That's my prejudice and I will own up to it. Like I said earlier, I am trying to learn more about it. I feel that older people feel a similar way, to us it's new because we never knew or understood what trans people were or were going through.

Please, I am open for friendly discussion on this and not looking to start a flame war. I'd love to hear the perspective of trans people and their experiences to help me better understand it all.
