Ya girl's finished Pokmon Trading Card Game! I had Pokmon cards in the era this game came out, and I always wished I'd had someone else to try actually playing the game with, so it was fun being able to do that all these years later.

That said, this game was pretty rudimentary and had some definite problems. The difficulty curve, for instance, is practically nonexistent - once I'd gotten through the first few clubs, I had enough cards in my deck that everything after that was a breeze, as long as I prepped my deck properly. I had no problem at ALL with any of the Grand Masters or Ronald at the end. In fact, it was so egregious that I beat each of those five trainers only using one* Pokemon apiece. I took out Courtney's Fire Pokmon with Poliwhirl, Steve's Electric types with Rhydon, Jack's Ice lineup with (*two) Raichu, Rod's "Dragon" lineup with the always-reliable Nidorino (only got a Nidoking towards the end and never drew it), and Ronald's Pokmon with Kadabra (same as Nidoking with Alakazam).

But yeah, despite the lack of any real difficulty curve, and moments of old-game jank like the inability to set one card in multiple decks making the "multiple decks" functionally useless, I'm glad this topic inspired me to pick this game up; I had a good time with it! Finished with 193/226 cards and a play time of 20:10.

What should I call you nowadays, since KBM doesnt seem the best fit?

Either Kaelee or KBM is fine. (Will also answer to Kae or Vengeful; I'm truly not that particular about my internet handle any more)

Got the seventh medal in Pokemon TCG. The Psychic gym leader was such a little turd stalling me out with a Mr. Mime/Alakazam combo, but I was never in any real danger of losing as I had one more card in my draw pile down the stretch. I could have let him draw himself to death, but towards the end I got a sleep to stick on his Mr. Mime to shut down his Pokemon Power, allowing me to take it out. Then I Bill'd into the last card in my deck, a Charizard, evolved my fully loaded Charmeleon, and smoked his Alakazam to collect my last prize card with 0 cards left in my deck. Much more satisfying win!

I absolutely took the cheap win against the Psychic leader (it was actually his tanky normal-types, Chansey and Snorlax, I had no counter for, as they were all resistant to the Psychic types I'd loaded my own deck with for the Psychic club).
