today gdad's birthday.... gbro visiting, since it's gdad's birthday i gotta play nice this time (plus gmom pressure)

god it's so frustrating, talking to gmom about it she's always like "oh he's doing better now, he's sad when he visits and you just stay in your room and i told him you don't appreciate the things he says and he told me he'll make it up to you and stop getting into politics"

then the first conversation he tries to talk up when he gets me alone.... is vague laughing at people he trolls, saying "people think they're allowed to say anything [he says with ABSOLUTELY ZERO SELF-AWARENESS] without me trolling them" and laughs it up. Dude. Why the fuck do you think that's something I at all would relate to, especially when I know much of your "trolling" is calling people slurs. Fuck's sake you KNOW I don't agree with your garbage, you literally complain to mom about it!

ugh, but whatever I go put on a movie for everyone because at least that'll pass the time without having to engage with each other. I pick Tenet, he hasn't seen it, it's got time travel, a sophisticated plot for him to feel smart for watching, really cool action scenes. great. I'll admit my worry of him watching a black-led movie but I think it has enough up his alley that it won't phase him and in this regard I judged right

but I completely forgot there's a female character who's a victim of domestic abuse and gbro immediately whines OH OF COURSE SHE'S A VICTIM, WAH WAH WAH BITCH and like the whole god damn movie he's obsessively mocking her, and audibly agreeing with her abusive husband. Oh right, and the bad guy being Russian is another triggering bit because of course gbro is a Putin fanatic. But for fuck's sake there's a scene where the guy threateningly tells his wife "if I can't have you nobody can" and gbro's like "makes sense to me!" unironically. The whole ass movie he's just going on tirades whenever she's on screen complaining about every line, repeating his desire for her to die, and getting mad when the protagonists want to help her. even gdad's sick of it, joining along with me to just fucking watch the movie

I know a lot of it is trolling but ffs he absolutely cannot turn his deranged incel brain off for one god damn movie and it's so annoying, he's so primed in every scene to pounce on anything he deems woke and whine about it. so much for gmom's talk that he's doing better and that he understands not to be a dumb fuck culture warrior around me, it's just straight-up an impossible task for him, he lives and breathes this shit and he's not at all changing
