There's more than just language involved, there's complex cultural considerations in localization. And in fact UK and US localizations ARE considered different. British English is considered a specific style in US media, it's not just neutral English. That's why Xenoblade wasn't being released in the US despite having an English translation. It wasn't localized for the US. And now the Xenoblade series is known for this regal high fantasy style, like Game of Thrones.
