In Australia if you dont provide your tax file number (something you will only have if youre a legal resident or on a visa) to an employer not only do you still get taxed, but youre automatically in the highest bracket. Its kinda hard to avoid paying tax when its automatically taken from your pay before it even reaches your bank account. Is this something other countries just cant figure out? --- "The US is not a single country.
