didn't stegosaurus last longer than most dinosaur species though?

I don't know. The average lifespan of a species is 500,000 to 3 million years before being replaced by an evolutionary descendant.

The stegosaurus died out because it could only eat low while animals that could eat high could also eat low.

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."
