WHAT, I dunno about you but the conversations I have seen in here and in real life people usually loe it at 16ish and people are kissing as early as junior high.

I think the kissing part is abnormal.

As far as virginity, I think there are a few factors at play. People's attitudes towards dating, sex, etc. if they change will change alongside other milestones in their lives. (You'll see this in people losing their virginity in their freshman year of college more than their junior year of high school for example). It's also for societal reasons the case that there's a polarization in social circles around those ages in that people who have plenty of sex tend to have friends who are the same way and vice versa.

I grew up in a rural area in a town of about 5000 people. My high school girlfriend was an abstinence until marriage person. My friends spanned a number of "coolness/popularity" levels but the majority of them weren't having sex (for either gender) even though plenty of relationships happened. But there were other social circles at our school where people were having a lot of sex.
