Topic	UPS Strike Over. Teamsters Won.
Solid_Sonic 07/26/23 12:17:28 PM #24:	My dad didn't enjoy being in the teamster's union when he was at UPS but he had a bad experience due to getting very little benefit from the move to unionization. He managed to opt out after awhile but it took a lot of work (and I think he had to exploit a loophole to do it, someone else he worked with also wanted out and they couldn't take advantage of the same exception so they were stuck). His experience made me leery of large unions and the way they operate but it hasn't turned me down from the idea entirely (Sega of America's grassroots unionization efforts still brings me hope unions that abide by the notion unions were originally created for can still work). --- Surely if I stick up for rich people on the Internet I'll eventually get a sweet job offer from them, right? <cite>Solid_Sonic posted [p:975075941] in UPS Strike...
