No they didnt, as they werent as good as games that came out before them. Particularly Perfect Dark, as Unreal Tournament was out by then, and that revolutionized the genre.

OoT and MM aren't "nostalgia goggles" games. They are both awesome in their own way and paved the way for future Zelda games.

Yes they are. Go try to play OoT now. Every battle besides the Iron Knuckle is literally enemy is invincible, wait for it to turn around to reveal a weak spot or attack so I can dodge and counter. The enemy controls the pace of the battle for the entire game, and that makes it boring on replay.

I can't tell if your post was supposed to be satire or genuine, but either way, it's a bad take. It seems to be of the "they're old games, therefore they all suck!" opinion.

Its serious, and its not old games suck, because the even older SNES games are better than the 64 ones. I would agree to early 3D titles suck though.

I view the post you're replying to as someone who spent too much time on the PC and can't judge stuff fairly. Quake is an amazing game, but it's not an impact changer in the way Goldeneye was. I'd put the PS1 Medal of Honor games over Quake.

I literally unlocked all cheats on GoldenEye on three separate copies of the game: mine and those of two different friends from school. I probably put hundreds of hours into that game, at least a hundred of which were multiplayer. Its mechanically no where close to as good as Quake 3 Arena or Unreal Tournament. I just didnt know any better at the time.
