I'm not even sure how you "fix" the issue in the sense that insurance is intended as a mechanism to manage risk against unforeseen bad stuff happening.

I don't see how any sort of insurance can work if the bad stuff is happening all the time. No business model can operate on paying out every year because Florida keeps getting hit with stuff every year.

You could raise taxes and use that money to fund infrastructure that can tolerate disasters better, for one. You could work with ins companies to subsidize costs, for two. But no, DeShitStain would rather fight a cartoon mouse and implement fascist policies that are going to bankrupt his state as he attempts to run for president to leave it all behind. Anyone who votes for him is a deluded, braindead imbecile.
