Honestly, yeah. I think max is another reason why DC ticket sales haven't been amazing. Max is a great streaming service, and its subscribers know it's only a matter of months before the movie is added there to watch at no additional cost.

With huge TVs and home theater sound systems being as cheap as they are nowadays, most people will probably skip the theater and just watch them on Max 3 months later anyway.

I hate to say it, but both WB and Disney should probably focus their efforts on streaming for all but their most high-profile projects. At least when it comes to their franchise flicks.

Part of the problem with modern Hollywood are these bloated budgets for movies that really don't need it and can't be expected to make the budget worth it. Smaller projects for streaming for the less guaranteed hits (such as Blue Beetle) is probably the best approach.
