This is where I get roasted by CE.

I own a house here. How? I moved cross-country years ago.

So many people bitch about not being able to afford a house, so I ask "hey why don't you move a few hours away" and they always say "oh noooooo can't do that I need to live near my parents/sister/person I'm stalking" etc.

Everybody is different of course, sometimes you want to stay near places for various reasons. But, if you're not willing to move away for a bit and play the property game, then whining that you can't afford a property when you're doing literally fuck all to solve the problem... well, you can't solve that with fluffy words.

And yes I know that 100% confirms me as an asshole but I spent years away from my family and best friends. I missed my dad's 60th birthday because I couldn't afford the fuel. I turned 30 in my house, alone, during the pandemic. Having gone through that to get to where I am now, I'm happy. And I'm proud of it.
