Microsoft does it all the time! They had the COD exclusivity deal before Sony! They can easily outspend Sony as seen by their most recent purchases. People are in this very topic arguing that it's good Microsoft partakes in the same exact business practices because fuck Sony and I don't see you going "Well, no it's still wrong to cheer on even if Sony has made a couple more purchases than them in the last 25 years." You're not making any sense.

And I do care about Microsoft stuff. I haven't said I'm protesting their decisions. I'm dying for Starfield. I love Forza Horizon 5. You seem to forget that my problem was people excusing Microsoft, not people criticizing Sony.

The only defense I'm seeing for exclusivity deals and purchases is "well Sony does it worse". How is that not defending one side doing it?

I say Sony's acquisitions brought less attention because they were essentially already first-party studios and that's "defense". But "Microsoft eats a few less babies than Sony or Nintendo, so they're comparatively good" is "context". I haven't defended a single Sony decision in this topic unless you consider liking Uncharted to be one.
