| HylianFox 07/09/23 8:28:14 PM #1: | Instead of just, say, "Metroid-like" (similar to Rogue-like) Originally the term "Metroidvania" specifically referred to Castlevania games that used Metroid's style of gameplay (i.e. a focus on action and exploration with new areas opening as you got more powers) starting with Symphony of the Night.
