Topic	Does your area restrict Sunday alcohol sales?
Trumble 07/09/23 4:12:44 PM #36:	No, although there's still some religious influence in that 3 of the 3.5 days a year that alcohol can't be sold in most contexts are religious in nature (Christmas Day, Easter Friday, Easter Sunday). The other 0.5 is related to NZ history, and yes, it's literally half a day, or rather just over half (Anzac Day; alcohol can't be sold before 1PM).
