our main global competitor is China. Whether you acknowledge this or not we have a vested interest in keeping Taiwan free from mainland PRC. There is a very good chance by 2027 we'll be dragged into a war over that region, possibly marking a true third world war (if ukraine doesn't devolve to this first). It's something you'll probably end up supporting especially since right now if China took Taiwan you'd never seen another cell phone/computer/laptop/car ever again due to majority of chips being manufactured there.

This is being mitigated by the attempt to ramp up domestic production. However that infrastructure will take many, many years to bring into something meaningful.

Circling back to your point, China as a competitor isn't spending even one single Yuan on DEI initiatives. They're a largely homogenous population driven under an authoritarian regime to be productive. Ramaswamy is staunchly anti-woke for the purpose clearly delineated in his book as not being productive. If we spend all our efforts and time the next several years catering to the thoughts and feelings of every american we're setting ourselves up to lose the next world war.

He does have positions I don't agree with. I'm liberal on some social issues--ie, I dgaf about abortion. So many other things to worry about. Wanna kill 5 of your fetuses? do it. I don't wanna know about it. At least he allows exceptions and a firm time window.

But ultimately you have to vote for the candidate that has positions that are majority in line with your own thoughts. My concern is democrats simply can't govern. What are they doing putting biden up again????? Tell me!!!!! That dude has dementia for sure, why are you voting for someone that should be in a nursing home? This country is almost definitely run by his staff, voting for him is simply disingenuous.
