The comic is very good. It starts off like a hunt for a serial killer and the story spans over a thousand years of time. Thor first uncovers evidence that someone is hunting gods, in the viking age.

One scene I really wish had been left in was when he keeps finding murder scene after murder scene. In the movie he just sees a few gods dying on a computer screen

In the comic he physically visits the homelands of many panethons and finds entire families of gods slaughtered. Like he goes into a palace in space orbiting a planet, and finds rotting god corpses inside

Another time he goes to a place that's like a Greek garden with a pond. The pond is now poisoned from the dead gods and the only survivor is a mutated and diseased unicorn

That... sounds really good. I might legit check this comic out now.

Right off the bat I could see there's no way they could have fit that in a movie. Maybe if they made it like Seven7 but without the gross stuff? I dunno

The idea of visiting many pantheons of the gods would have been really cool. We're in the 2020s I would have thought by now there's definitely the level of technology (not to mention the disney budget) to showcase stuff like that
