Looks to be about as faithful a remake as I could have hoped for - hell, they even seem to be keeping the goofy pantomime cutscenes where Mario explains things by morphing into other characters and gesturing wildly. The original composer overseeing the soundtrack update is icing on the cake, can't wait to hear the updated Smithy Gang boss theme. A retranslation is inevitable and I'm not opposed to it.
