I have no clue what to say about this even tho I didn't have a problem talking about it when I pushed for it years ago. I'm a huge fan and I like the kinda crunchy intervals in the low fidelity 9 loop that sounds like Steve and it evokes imagery in my head that I think is so coool
I honestly know nothing about Scott Pilgrim other than that "hipsters" like it or something.
I associate nekomata master more with the Sine Wave and epiano fusion chordz feel(elebits) and sometimes forget he's actually an intense edm guy. BUT this does still have its sprinkles of 1 second that just sound like elebits which is so cool
the nice sprinkles of dissonant stuff here give it an edge I like
so i was going to say this aleste one reminded me of puyo puyo. apparently this composer worked on that!? so perhaps the comparison is not shallow after all. there's some really unhinged solos here that I appreciate
its mostly the "tarkus organ" parts of this I love this one so much for, but overall this shares the otherworldly sound design I love about this ost
