Words are chosen in writing not just for meaning but for subtext, style, artistry. Frequently a slight change can keep the art better than the exact word in English which isn't as interesting of a choice. Also sometimes the translator has something untranslatable they have to make a judgement call on, and Woolsey was fun as hell. You're 100% spot on. Yep.
