Topic | Why Did BLACK ADAM FLOP As a Movie?(The Rock) |
Kitt 06/15/23 5:58:38 PM #7: | Zikten posted... Because it's a character nobody outside comic readers has ever even heard of, and only Marvel has proven able to succeed with "obscure" charactersPoor box-office aside (due to a number of things but especially COVID), The Suicide Squadwhich is filled with obscure characterswas a hit with film goers and reviewers. And it spawned another hit in Peacemaker, a spin-off centered around an obscure character. Then you have other stuff like Kick-Ass, Kingsman, and Invincible; projects with source material that are otherwise obscure to people who don't read comics but went on to be successful in their own right. Black Adam being an unpopular character wasn't necessarily why the movie sucked (imo). The writing, the story, the characters, all that stuff that makes a good movie (again, imo) just wasn't there. It was just unbearably mediocre at best. --- What is up, my sister!? https://m.imgur.com/pmc9XsI https://m.imgur.com/hfzvdPe ... Copied to Clipboard! |
