of course it's not an answer in and of itself. the political baseline in the US is basically already fascist. the right is significantly larger and better organized than the left. a few groups arming themselves isn't going to change that.

that being said, it's still a necessary step at a certain point. if you are in favour of a large-scale working-class revolution uprooting society and implementing a new economic system, you must, on some level, be in favour of the working class arming themselves.

I'm also glad that there's a growing alternative to the insane gun-obsessed culture of the US. a significant part of the problem with that culture (not the most significant, mind you; but still significant) is the reckless abandon with which these deadly weapons, literally designed to kill people, are treated. left-wing gun clubs make it significantly easier to get the necessary training and experience without participating in that culture.
