Women have it easier. They just need to keep their mouth shut, look pretty, open their legs wide, and make dinner and they will be set for life.

That often doesn't work due to domestic abuse and/or husbands losing their jobs.

And yes picking better men helps avoid that, but there aren't enough quality men for every woman.

If I'd hazard a guess that's likely tension created by the political climate where many of us lost our rights, are continuing to do so, and are dying in record numbers thanks to said policies. That likely has people heated (and protective.)

An unfortunate thing about this being the internet is that a lot of guys are simply not having sex, and thus don't get why women who don't want to run into the abortion laws can't just also not have sex, and thus the issue doesn't resonate with them.

Granted that perspective neglects women who were raped or who did want the child but ended up facing severe medical complications during the pregnancy.
