You should look into doing HIIT. You can do it at home 20-30 minutes a day and you can do it barefoot. You'll lose a lot of weight and get a great workout in less time than a simple walk.

i did, but a long time ago. what i remember was a lot of sprinting. are you saying it's just as good running in place?
