If the CEO genuinely changed things to keep their staff safe, that's not a bad thing. A CEO should be doing that to begin with and we would be shaming any CEO who wasn't making conscious decisions to keep staff safe.

I haven't been following this story closely, however IF employees were getting threatened, it's not fair to say a CEO should be like, "not my problem" all to support a cause getting hisher staff threatened.

I'd also like to remind people it's not like they are pulling everything down.
There's a difference between 'not my problem' and 'lives lost on your conscience' (as per the OP).

The only way to do everything to keep people safe would be to remove the product entirely. And then give in to every subsequent threat.
